Price: I do not really know. The review copy was free. A non-registered copy can be downloaded - it will do scans and reports but does not make any corrections.

SpeedUpMyPC 2009 - my experience first run Found:
Junk Files: 317
Privacy files: 5,079
Network Tweaks: 10
Windows Tweaks: 13
Startup Tweaks: 18

I let SpeedUpMyPC fix everything it found. I am not sure what the "Privacy Files" were, but about 4,000 of them were zero size. It put everything it deleted into the recycle bin, so if any useful ones had been deleted they were easily recovered. I did not have to recover any.

I have had it installed for 2 days now. It is hard to know if my PC is running faster, but it is certainly not slower! Based on the many fixes it did it would seem that is did certainly help.

This program is very fast to install and run. The run on my desktop took only about 10 minutes to install and run the first scan. This included actually running it twice, the second time after doing the registration.

There are many settings such as whether or not it checks for update, whether it runs on startup, etc.

Various other companies such as TUCOWS recommend the program.

I think it would be well worthwhile for anyone who has been having trouble with slow start-ups, unexpected errors or other problems.
