You'll need to install Scan2PDF on a P266 running Windows 98, ME, NT4, 2000 or XP.

You will also need a TWAIN compliant scanner and it helps to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.
Scan2PDF converts paper documents into PDFs. You can scan one or more pages of a document (using any TWAIN scanner) and then hit the Make PDF button and it will convert them into a multi-page, indexed PDF file.

In 2007, it will be the club's 25th anniversary, I thought it would be neat to put all the club newsletters on a CD. But it would take forever to do it the regular way, but with this program it is so easy to create a pdf from a scanned page.
I figure that I have over 3,000 pages to scan for all the newsletters in the last 20 some years. It took 5 minutes to scan 16 pages and create a pdf that was under 2 meg. in size.

You can also password protect files, it is suppose to send email from the program too (it did not work with Pegasus though), you can just add the attachment.

I also scanned 2 pictures and it made a 50 k pdf file, so you can send out a scrapbook of pictures as a pdf if you want.

On their web site has a forum where you can ask questions, if you scan pages in wrong order, you can drag them to the right order. If someone sends you a pdf file, you can open it and delete pages.

It is very fast for making pdfs, before you can say "sarnia computer" the pdf is already made and displayed in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
While there are many programs to create pdf from a typed file, this one is a real gem by letting you use pages from a scanner.
